Mr. Alan Jacob, Senior Instructor from Utah, is shown here executing one example of the ground fighting found within the AKKI curriculum. This technique employs the principles of Ballistic and Relayed Torque, Progressive Manipulation, and the stages of Control Manipulation. The Rhythmic Timing used in many empty hand techniques is translated to our ground work.  The understanding of the ground fighting curriculum can empower the student to find other applications of the techniques and possibly use them for numerous ground applications.
