Inward Block #1

Click to watch video clip

This clip of an inward block contrasts with Inward Block #2 by demonstrating Explosive Tension which then is relayed to Tail- End Speed. A knowledge of Orbital Facilitation and Rotational Diagonal Alignment give this motion greater function by utilizing Spirals and Diagonals. This enables your body to move in the Groove to generate maximum speed and power.

This clip is showing how through very little effort, the appropriate structure and function of a properly placed inward block can cause great effect. The essence of Stored Energy and the Mental, Physical, and Spiritual Forward Projection becomes the catalyst for Martial Synergy.

Hooking Punch

Click to watch video clip

Here, Mr. Mills is demonstrating Ballistic Muscle Action and Momentum by using a hooking punch. Potential Energy is being used as it is evident of the lack of motion prior to Mr. Mills moving. This complies with Point of Origin and a Plyometric Twitch. This is an example of Grafted Methods of Execution. The Method of Initiation is hammering, the Method for Delivery and Penetration are thrusting, and the Method of Extraction is hooking. When grafting methods of execution, one can Maximize his Action Potential. The punch, although isolated, may look familiar in the techniques’ Shielding Hammer, Destructive Hammer, and others.

Club Drill

This clip features Senior Instructor Dan Selleroli, from Wyoming, with his Kenpo Sticks. The two series of timing shown were taken from the AKKI club set, phase III. They are Club Timing Patterns 1 and 2 utilizing uppercase motion. For the viewer to maximize their experience with these clips please turn up your speakers. You can see the speed and sophistication but only when you combine it with the auditory experience will the clips be most beneficial. Listen to the tempo, rhythm and refinement of the club work that Mr. Selleroli is demonstrating. Mr. Mills is in the background calling out which timing patterns Mr. Selleroli is to execute. These are drills that the AKKI encourage its members to engage in when training with the clubs to understand how properly to use Circular Rotational Energy with the clubs to facilitate multiple strikes on multiple targets.

Knock Out #1

Click to watch video clip

The knock-out demonstrated here was executed under the supervision of a qualified Doctor. The sequence was taken from Form Two that teaches pressure point striking and manipulation. Some principles demonstrated are Stages of Impact Manipulation, (there are three stages) Progressive Manipulation, which initiates Progressive Overload, and Overloading the Senses. All of this falls under Perceptual Separation. This technique also demonstrates the benefits of striking while utilizing scissoring and open-ended triangles. Mr. Jacob was not injured in the application of this technique.

Knock Out #2

In this clip, Mr. Mills demonstrates short range power generation. The handsword Mr. Mills applies is brought into motion by the use of Dimensional Stages of Muscle Movement, Progressive Acceleration, and Relative Speed to provide power to the strike. Some important physical quantities related to striking are momentum (p = mv), and kinetic energy (KE = 1/2 mv^2). The physics equations describing these quantities depend on mass and velocity, not on the amount of distance traveled in executing the strike. In this demonstration, the utilization of proper principles regarding speed and body alignment, not travel, gives tremendous power to the strike.
