These are the earliest known pictures of Ed Parker
teaching Kenpo from 1954. These were taken in Provo
Utah while Mr. Parker was attending college at Brigham
Young University (BYU).
You can find a copy of one of these images in the book
entitled "The Journey". The picture in the
book was provided by Mr. Paul Mills. The images on this
page are also provided by him.
Mr. Mills originally was given these by Charlie Beeder
son, Frank, many years ago as a gift. Mr. Charlie Beeder
Sr. was coincidentally Ed Parker's first black belt
in Kenpo and is featured in a couple of these photos
